Creating a Garmin GPS Basemap

/ On : 5:10 AM/ Thanks for your visited my mini blog.
Is very interesting if we could insert a basemap of our own making into the Garmin GPS. Basemap provided by Garmin by default has a very small scale is not accurately be used in the field. If we have the basic data in shapefile format from 1:50,000 scale maps or even a 1:25.000, we can create a base map for Garmin GPS we made sendiri.Tahap 1: Download software
Software used to make the Garmin GPS Basemap is CGPSMapper, GPSMapEdit, and SendMap. Third software can be downloaded at http://www.ziddu.com/download/3177112/Garmin.rar.html

Tips:

* For ease of symbology, shapefile which has various levels of the symbol should be separated into several separate files. As an example for a file path, should be split into different shapefile for arterial roads, local roads, other jalain and walkways. At the time of import into GPSMapEdit each file can have a symbol berebda.

* Export file folder to the IMG may be an error if too many grids are exported because too many files are imported. Create a region for the province to alleviate CGPSMapper scope. In GPSMapEdit can use TRIM icon.
